HOW TO WALK IN VICTORY: SEE YOUR BATTLES CORRECTLY (PART TWO)

Many believers lose victory because they see their problems wrong. If you see
every battle as destruction, you will live discouraged. But if you see every battle as
preparation, you will live in victory.
2 Corinthians 4:17
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very
long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will
last forever!
Your battle is not always against you. Sometimes it is working for you. Victory
comes when your perspective changes. When we begin to understand that battles
are part of growth, it changes how we react to difficulty. But the truth goes even
deeper than that. Not only does God allow battles, the Bible teaches that God can
actually use the pressure we are under to accomplish His purpose. That brings us to
the next truth we must understand if we are going to walk in victory.
1. Battles are part of growth
James 1:2–3
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way,
consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is
tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
Faith is not proven in comfort. Faith is proven in conflict. Trials test faith, testing
will build strength, and strength leads to victory.
2. God uses pressure for purpose
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of
those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Even what the enemy means for harm, God can use for good. So, trust God, don’t
quit in the struggle and stay faithful in the process.
3. Temporary battles cannot cancel eternal promises
2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is
unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
What you see is not the whole story. We must look higher by thinking eternally and
trust God’s plan.
Conclusion
Victory belongs to those who learn to see correctly. Thus, when your perspective changes, your strength changes.
We will continue with more next time.
