Hello! We’re Jeff & Demetria Bass, and we’re so glad you’re here. In 1995, we planted our first church, Praise Covenant Christian Center, in Northern Virginia, and 18 years later, God led us to plant The River Christian Center in Manassas, Virginia. Those were incredible seasons of growth, and we’re forever grateful for the opportunity to pour into the lives of so many people.
Now, God has called us to a new assignment—to nourish an online community with the truth of His Word, both the milk and the meat, while leading people across the globe to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We’re thrilled to connect with people from all walks of life, and we welcome you to join us on this journey. Pastor William J. "Jeff" Bass
Pastor Jeff’s Journey of Faith and Service
Born in Troy, Alabama, Pastor Jeff is a dedicated husband to his wife, Pastor Demetria, and a proud father to their son, Christopher. From a young age, Pastor Jeff excelled in academics, graduating from high school with honors before earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Troy State University.
On August 17, 1987, Pastor Jeff made the life-changing decision to accept Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, igniting a deep hunger and passion for God's Word that continues to grow. His messages are known for their life-changing impact, offering encouragement, exhortation, and empowerment to those who hear them.
Above all, the most powerful testimony of Pastor Jeff's life is his unwavering love for the Lord. He firmly believes that life is about serving Christ and others, and he lives out this mission with authenticity and purpose.
Demetria Bass - Executive Pastor
Pastor Demetria’s Life of Service and Faith
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Pastor Demetria has traveled extensively, living throughout the United States and abroad. Her journeys have taken her to diverse places such as Keflavik, Iceland, and Diego Garcia in the British Indian Ocean Territory.
Pastor Demetria served with distinction, dedicating four years to the U.S. Air Force National Guard and twenty years to the U.S. Navy. It was during her time in service that she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, proudly identifying as a child of the Most High King. While stationed in Diego Garcia, she felt the divine call to share the Gospel and embraced her role as a minister of God’s Word.
Demetria is happily married to her beloved and supportive husband, Pastor Jeff, and they are blessed with a son, Christopher. In addition to her family, God has richly blessed Pastor Demetria with the spiritual responsibility of nurturing many other sons and daughters in faith, whom she lovingly considers her spiritual children.
